When not writing, reading or listening to classical music, Kaye is probably wet! She loves all of nature but especially water – being in it, on it, under it or above it. The fierce moods of the ocean, serenity of rivers, reflective depths of gorges, all touch her.
Kaye has always been a wordsmith and addicted to books.
She completed Journalism studies and a Diploma of Theology and as a freelance writer, had many articles, short stories and poems printed in magazines both in Australia and overseas. Her first book of children’s poems, Fortesque and Friends, was published in the UK (now out of print).
Writing for the Church Missionary Society, Albatross Books and Wesley Mission (NSW) involved human interest stories, monthly news publications and over 1000 Thought for the Day radio spots aired daily on 2GB Sydney. Kaye completed several counselling and clinical pastoral education courses which led to her becoming a Mental Health Chaplain at Sutherland and St George Hospitals for 12 years and then a Funeral Director/Celebrant for a further 10 years.
She cares deeply about hurting people, and walks alongside them giving friendship and support.
